\tMi nombre es Dennis Courtliff y soy un profesor jubilado que vive en Canad\u00e1. He tenido mucho inter\u00e9s en los derechos humanos y este inter\u00e9s me ha llevado a escribir cartas expresando mis preocupaciones cuando me entero de una situaci\u00f3n de derechos humanos de que es un problema.<\/p>\n
\tMe dirijo a usted acerca de una amenaza de muerte el 5 de febrero por el Negro Eagles (\u00c1guilas Negras) grupo paramilitar anunciando que era “hora de la limpieza social en el norte del Cauca” que se realiz\u00f3 en los municipios de Caloto, Guachen\u00e9 y Santander de Quilichao . El 6 de febrero Gerardo Velasco Escue y Emiliano Silva Oteca del Toez Resguardo Ind\u00edgena se los llevaron y sus cuerpos fueron encontrados el 8 de febrero. El 13 de febrero, los cuerpos de Arturo Andr\u00e9s Galindo Bastos y Carlos Albeiro Mera Pino, ambos Nasa Pueblos Ind\u00edgenas, se encontraron en el Resguardo Cerro Tijeras, Municipio Su\u00e1rez, departamento del Cauca. Alfredo Campo Lectamo, el gobernador del Resguardo Toez, y otros l\u00edderes ind\u00edgenas, han recibido nuevas amenazas despu\u00e9s de hablar en contra de los asesinatos.<\/p>\n
\tEstoy preocupado por estas muertes y las amenazas emitidas contra Alfredo Campo Lectamo y otros l\u00edderes y les pedir\u00eda que:
\t– Estas personas est\u00e1n protegidas de los que los han amenazado.<\/p>\n
\t– Una investigaci\u00f3n exhaustiva e imparcial sobre las desapariciones, amenazas y muertes de las personas que he mencionado se lleva a cabo y que los responsables comparezcan ante la justicia.<\/p>\n
\t– Los grupos paramilitares son desmantelados inmediatamente y su conexi\u00f3n con las fuerzas de seguridad tambi\u00e9n se termina ya que el gobierno se ha comprometido a hacer y la ONU ha recomendado.<\/p>\n

\tDennis Courtliff<\/strong> \t <\/p>\n \t <\/p>\n \t <\/p>\n \tEN INGLES <\/strong><\/p>\n \tEstimado Sr. Ministro, \tI am writing to you about a death threat made on 5 February by the Black Eagles (Aguilas Negras) paramilitary group announcing that it was \u201ctime for social cleansing in northern Cauca\u201d that was made in the municipalities of Caloto, Guachene and Santander de Quilichao. On February 6th Gerardo Velasco Escue and Emiliano Silva Oteca of the To\u00e9z Indigenous Resguardo were taken away and their bodies were found on Feburary 8th. On 13th February, the bodies of Arturo Andr\u00e9s Galindo Bastos and Carlos Albeiro Mera Pino, both Nasa Indigenous Peoples, were found in the Cerro Tijeras Resguardo, Suarez municipality, Cauca Department. Alfredo Campo Lectamo, the governor of the To\u00e9z Resguardo, and other Indigenous leaders, have received further threats after speaking out against the killings.<\/p>\n \tI am disturbed by these deaths and the threats issued against Alfredo Campo Lectamo and other leaders and I would ask that: \t\u2022 A full and impartial investigation into the disappearances, threats and deaths of the people I have mentioned takes place and those found responsible are brought to justice.<\/p>\n \t\u2022 Paramilitary groups are dismantled immediately and their connection to the security forces is also ended as the government has undertaken to do and the UN has recommended.<\/p>\n \tThank you for reading my letter.
